empowerment over shame

About Us

When times get tough, we’re here to help brighten your path. Together, let’s find the light at the end of the tunnel. #MentalHealthSupport #BrighterDaysAhead

Our Mission

Across the suburbs of Illinois, mental health takes a toll on kids of all ages. Regardless of support networks, professional help,  and awareness of mental health in the 21st century, societal stigma remains. Founded in 2023, Mind Over Matter is a student-run nonprofit organization that destigmatizes matters revolving around mental health. We embrace change by organizing a mental health forum a-community within a community. Throughout our various events, collected funds will be donated to a mental health charity, and all kids have an opportunity to become advocates for mental health. Promoting mental health requires creating a nurturing environment that values empathy and understanding.
